In your honest opinion, which class feels like a true berserker warrior?

To me I honestly feel like a Stamina Nightblade is the closest. The reds skill colors and heavily weapon looking skill animations. Plus having that crazy single target burst damage is very in your face raging warrior to me. I play all my nightblades are warrior fight from the front not sneaky assassins.

Dragonknight feels like a traditional fighter to me. Templar is a straight up paladin. Necro doesn't really have a archetype to me. Warden is a ranger and Sorcerer is a spell sword.

What do you think?

Dragon knight easily, poison breath , claw, whip , dragon wings.

Get a dual axe (like opal lord warden) and a nord outfit or crimson oath if you like dark styles and you are set.

You can even get domihaus monster set for even more style.

I've played Stam DK so much and those DOTS or class skills don't scream berserker but more warrior or brawler

Nothing on eso actually screams berserker. Especially now that flurry became visually...unpleasant

At least dk has some cool stuff

    Nord Stamina Warden

Berserkers belonged to the bear cult, and the bear is symbolic to the Wardens as well. It is said their battle rage came from consuming mushrooms or certain plants, which you can emulate with the Warden's Green Balance skills and the Minor Toughness buff.

Coming from the northern regions, both Nord and Winter's Embrace are fitting as well.

Give them both a big axe and a smaller axe with a shield. Then go crazy Best berserker class (6)

depends on your definition of Beserker. I considered the way I set my DK up a beserker but it seems you have a different definition.

Berserker would probably be either NB or Warden. The rest of the classes don't really fit the aesthetic.

NB has a lot of skills that are pretty bloody, but many of them are also pretty magical or have a dagger motif, so that is kinda meh in that regard.
Warden has a bear, which fits the aesthetic of a Berserker. If you're a nord, ice would also fit the aesthetic to some extent, though with the nerfs coming next update it's not ideal to usually use the ice skills anymore. Shalks is weird for the berserker aesthetic, and so are the fletcher flies and the netch. But Bird of Prey is a nice passive. With the right setup of passives and 2-handed, you could pull the aesthetic off with either Warden or NB.

As a note, you could also argue that turning into a bone colossus would make you a berserker. Though it's the only skill Necro gets that fits the aesthetic to some degree.

Nightblade is too precise to be a Beserker. The stabs, the life drain. If anything more of a vampiric death priest or assassin, but not beserker. Warden...not really either. You have the nature aspect which goes against beserker, and then frost which is a slowing trait usually which goes against beserker speed.

DK has fire so more on the speed level, and it has dragonflight. Rush in and swing away. It fits best for Beserker playstyle and theory of the role

unless you have a different definition of beserker

Used to be Nightblade when we still had the Haste skill.

Overall, Two-Handed seems the most berserker-y skill line to me.
Especially with the ultimate ... Berserker Strike.

There are also the Ulfheðnar who are known as Wolf Skins. They are also a Nordic Berserker! I base my Berserkers off them vs the bear.

if role play is more preferable, then I'd say the charater appearance is crucial in this case, than class.

Make berserker-looking character and use dual-wield axes and related skill line. That's really all you need.

Well mainly I don't think of DK as a berserker because they play the slow endurance game. Lots of DOTs plus the poison. They aren't fast enough pace to me at least to be considered that.

Why are you building the DK like that though? Thats a personal choice to build it as a dot build. You could go with a whip and some dragon/stone abilities then mix in 2h beserker and some dual-wield. If you build the DK to be some meta dot build...sure...you will get a meta dot build lol...but it definitely doesnt need to be that way. Just play it as if you were first creating the character and leveling...where dots are not needed nor fun but fast movement is.

Especially as a Nord for the increased ult amounts and the dragon-wings.

So difficult because I don't think there's a real definition of berserker or even any consistency in fantasy literature (let alone any relationship to Norse legend). My starting point would be a Nord werewolf warden with bear I think, given all the Norse legendary angles.

For the fast weapon based style class IMHO is irrelevant. Any class you like with 2H, cleave, stampede and some other 2H skills on one bar or perhaps dual wield and some other form of shields. You want to stack medium armour for damage and light for penetration anyway. Ring of the wild hunt (ok it's stolen from Celtic not Norse literature but it gives the speed aspect). Stacking 2H and fighters guild skills gives you a reasonably good one v many trash so you can stand atop the heaped bodies of your enemy (until they despawn anyway). PvP you'd need some heavy gear and probably have to add a few slightly less fitting skills like caltrops.

And the look is completely unconnected to the class or character except for a few skills because all the styles and outfitting are not tied to anything but cosmetic. The barbarian kind of look isn't hard to do because there game has a good supply of semi naked and completely implausible armour outfits and giant swords.

Originally StamSorc was the Beserker Class, StamDK was the Knight Class. Both occupying some part of the Warrior Spectrum, but with StamSorc being quicker and harder hitting at the expense of less Mitigation and less Healing, vice-versa for StamDK.

Originally there was much stronger synergy between StamSorc and Medium Armor, and StamDK and Heavy Armor, though that distinction is much less these days.

Post Dark Brotherhood playing as a "DoT Tank" was playing StamDK to its utmost strengths. Still is from the point of view that DK has the best array of DoTs in Venomous Claw, Noxious Breath, Volatile Armor, and Corrosive Armor - and now Burning Talons and Eruption too after Hybridization.

Similarly, the mobility afforded by Hurricane and Streak helps fulfill the "Berserker" playstyle in a way that no DK skill can match.

PS: all of my comments pertain only to PvP
