Is it better to take Lann or Wenduag? ›

Since Lann and Wenduag are, to all intents and purposes, mutually exclusive, you may wonder which one to take with you. Events early in the game might predispose you towards one over the other regardless but Lann is mechanically the better companion.

they can both survive the end of maze quest at the beginning but you can recruit one of them. Lann and Wenduag are mutually exclusive. Seems if you take Lann first, there is a way to get Wenduag in Act 3 but ... she'll betray you, however there is a way to get her back in Act 5, but you lose Lann.

Players can recruit Lann from the caverns underneath Kenabres. They will encounter Wenduag and Lann together and will join the party automatically. It is essential to know that players can only recruit either Lann or Wenduag. However, if players choose Lann, players will be able to recruit Wenduag again in ACT Five.

Since Wrath of the Righteous has a different context and setting this time, it did away with the kingdom management stuff. So players who want to commit to the "adventurer lifestyle" needn't be bothered. There is, however, another game mode similar to the kingdom management in the previous game.

It's possible to romance Lann, then let him go out in a blaze of glory as he's always wanted. It's not the most satisfying ending, but it may be appropriate for certain player characters. Lann's romance is also strained, and vulnerable to sabotage.

Wenduag can be recruited later in the game if the player did not recruit her in the Prologue. The first opportunity to do so is in Chapter Three, during Lann's personal quest. However, if she is recruited at this point, she will later betray the player and must be killed.

You can only recruit Staunton in the Lich path. All other paths lead to his death, except for one. But even in that one, he just hangs around as another background NPC.

Wrath is much harder in early game than kingmaker if you do not build you character right. Both games are essentially min/maxing builders but for wrath anything normal and above difficulty it's pretty much required for certain skills to be taken.

Wrath is a lot more flexible in terms kingdom management, kingmaker has a lot of ways to screw up in terms of kingdom management but there are mods to bypass this for both. Both games are great and storywise, you can play them in either order. Gameplaywise I think you'll find it easier to play kingmaker first. And learning the systems there will make Wrath much easier to get into afterwards.

Best Subclass: Primal Druid or Elemental Rampager for the increased melee damage abilities. Important Ability Scores: After Wisdom, this Druid needs points in Consitution and Strength to retain their effectiveness in melee combat.
