Mortgage

You can make a payment through mobile or online banking using any checking account opened within the United States. Please note, if you'd like to pay using a checking account that's not on file, you'll need to add it to digital banking first. Review the steps in the "Add a payment account" section below to find out how.

If you have multiple accounts with U.S. Bank, follow these steps.

  1. Select Transfer & pay, then choose Pay bills.
    Mobile users only: Select Pay bills & transfer, then choose Pay a bill.
  2. Locate your mortgage account and select an amount to pay. You can choose one or more of the following items:
    • Mortgage payment (i.e., monthly amount due).
    • Additional amount towards the principal balance.
    • Additional escrow amount.
  3. Use the drop-down menu to choose which account* you'd like to pay from.
  4. Change the payment date, if desired.
  5. When ready, select Review & pay to submit the payment.

If you only have a mortgage with U.S. Bank, follow these steps.

  1. Select your mortgage account from the dashboard and choose View, pay & manage.
  2. Choose Payment at the top of the page.
    Mobile users only: Open the main menu first (three vertical dots), then choose "Payment".
  3. Choose to pay the Monthly payment or Other payment. Options include paying an additional amount towards your principal balance or escrow account.
  4. Use the drop-down menu to choose which account* you'd like to pay from.
  5. Change the payment date, if desired.
  6. When ready, select Submit payment.

*Add a payment account.

Here's how to add a checking account that's not on file with U.S. Bank.

  1. Select your mortgage account from the dashboard.
    • If you have multiple U.S. Bank accounts, choose View and manage.
    • If you only have a mortgage, choose View, pay & manage.
  2. Choose Payment at the top of the page.
    Mobile users: Open the main menu first (three vertical dots), then choose "Payment".
  3. Locate the "Payment methods" section and choose Add account.
  4. Enter your payment information and select Save.

To view the payoff for your mortgage using online banking

  1. Select your mortgage account, then select Request payoff quote.
  2. Choose the day you'd like the payoff through, then selectRequest payoff quote.
    Note: The payoff quote is valid only through the date selected.
  3. Choose how you'd like to receive the quote. Options are foundbelow the payoff details.
    • Text, email, or download:The quote can be sent by text, emailed to one or two email addresses or it can be downloaded as a PDF file. This gives you the flexibility to print it, send it to another number or address, and save it for your records.
    • Mail or fax:We can send you a paper version of the payoff quote. Just let us know where to send it. Estimated mail delivery is five to seven days and it's sent to the mailing address on file. To ensure your fax request gets to you, please check your fax machine to see if it's on, has paper and ink, and is connected to the land line or applicable network. In the event the first fax attempt is unsuccessful, we'll make two additional attempts to send your quote.

To view the payoff for your mortgage using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select yourmortgage account then choose Manage at the top of the screen.

Some accounts may not be available through digital banking due to restrictions. If your payoff can't be generated, please contact us at 800-365-7772. We're available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT. We accept relay calls.

Additional information

  • Instructions to submit payment using wire transfer or check are included in the letter.
  • The payoff quote includes all calculated interest up to the date selected.
  • If you'd like to fax a payoff request to us, send it to 800-200-8772. Please include your name, account number, address, and the return fax number for us to reply to.

How to make a payment using online banking

  1. SelectTransfer & payat the top of the page,then selectPay bills.
  2. Choose the bill(s) you'd like to pay.
  3. Select the payment date and amount for each bill you'd like to pay.
  4. Choose the checking or savings account to pay from.
  5. SelectReview & pay, thenPayto confirm your payment.

How to make a payment using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. From the dashboard, selectPay bills & transfer, then choosePay a bill.
  2. Select the credit account you'd like to pay, then choosePayon the next screen.
  3. SelectPay this amount.Here, you'll enter or choose how much you'd like to pay and selectSave.
    Optional:
    SelectDeliver payment byif you want to change the date, then selectSave.
  4. Choose the checking or savings account to pay from, then selectSave.
  5. SelectPay nowto confirm your payment.

Setting up autopay is easier than ever. When you've gone through the process, we'll provide you a confirmation page to review. It'll tell you when the first payment starts, how much is being paid, and what date it'll be paid each month.

To set up autopay using online banking

  1. Select Transfer & payat the top of the page, then choosePay bills.
    • If you don't have a checking or savings account, you'll simply select Pay bills.
  2. Choose the account you want automatically paid, by clicking on it, then choose Autopay set up now(found on the right side of the page).
  3. Optional: We encourage you to review the terms of service before starting autopay.
  4. Provide the following information.
    • Pay this amount: Choose how much to pay.
      Options include minimum payment, statement balance, minimum payment with extra, or other amount.
    • Send payments before or on due date: Choose when you'd like the payment to be delivered.
      This is considered the day the payment is made, also known as the transaction date.
    • Pay from: Choose the account to pay from.
      If you're paying from anexternal account, you'll need to add it to your list of external payment accounts before setting up autopay.
  5. SelectContinueto review your autopay settings. If they look good, chooseStart autopay.

To set up autopay using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Pay bills & transferat the bottom of the dashboard, then choosePay a bill.
  2. Choose the account you want automatically paid and then choose Autopay set up now
  3. Optional: We encourage you to review the terms of service before starting autopay.
  4. Provide the following information.
    • Amount to pay: Choose how much to pay.
      Options include minimum payment, statement balance, minimum payment with extra, or other amount.
    • Make payments: Choose when you'd like the payment to be delivered.
      This is considered the day the payment is made, also known as the transaction date.
    • Pay from: Choose the account to pay from.

  5. If everything looks good, choose Start autopay.

If you've recently changed your due date, you'll need to wait until after the new due date to set up autopay.

To transfer money using online banking

  1. SelectTransfer & pay, External transfers & wires, then choose Transfer money.
  2. Choose which account you'd like to transfer money from and to.
  3. Enter the amount and select the date of your transfer (if it's other than today), then choose Send transfer.
    Optional:
    • To set up recurring payments, select the checkbox next to "Repeat this transfer". Choose the frequency and when to stop it.
    • Add a memo.
  4. Review your transfer details and if everything is correct, selectSend transfer.

To transfer money using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. SelectPay bills & transfer at the bottom of the dashboard, thenTransfer money.
  2. Choose which accounts you'd like to transfer from and to.
  3. Enter the amount and select the date of your transfer (if it's other than today), then choose Transfer $.
    Optional: To set up recurring payments, use the toggle switchnext to "Repeat this transfer". Choose the frequency and when to stop it.
  4. Review the details of your transfer, select Transfer $to confirm.
